When Mishka picks up her make-up brushes expect pigment and glitter to be flying all over the place. Make-up is messy business. Mishka has only been in the industry for two years but her colourful and often intricate and embellished make-ups have put her on the map as a go-to girl for the weird and wonderful. Mishka likes to shake things up and believes that rules are there to be broken.
Makeup is an art for me. I love the transformative quality that it has, the way it can change a mood or feeling. I especially love makeup art for photography, which is where I specialise.
I have a tendancy towards over-the-top stylings that are influenced by a number of things - colour, fashion and a keen eye for the theatrical. My work has a way of changing with my mood. Light-hearted and candy-coloured one moment, the next dark and moody - I see it all as fantasy.
I am constantly growing as an artist, and am always thinking about the next project!
I love fashion, styling and art direction and have a tendancy to play each of those roles as well as makeup artist when given the opportunity. I just love to let my creative nature take over in all aspects.
As both a freelancer and MAC artist, Mishka is currently based in Adelaide but has her sights set on world make-up domination - one false eyelash at a time
